Upon receipt of payment, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo will provide the buyer with the vehicle's title. Titles may be subject to any restrictions as indicated in the item description on the website. Cal Poly San Luis Obispo will not issue replacement titles.

Buyer is responsible for following all Department of Motor Vehicle regulations for the transfer of vehicle title and registration. All smog related repairs and certifications for vehicles, when applicable, are the sole responsibility of the buyer as outlined in California Vehicle Code, Division 12, Section 24007.5(g).  

Acting in accordance with California Vehicle Code, Section 24007.5(g) Which states that any public agency which sells at public auction any vehicle shall provide each bidder with notice that a certificate of compliance must be obtained before the vehicle may be registered. Unless the vehicle is sold to a dealer or for the purpose of being wrecked or dismantled or is sold exclusively for off-highway use. The certificate of compliance certifies that the vehicle complies with Part 5 (commencing with Section 43000) of Division 26 of the Health and Safety Code.

Furthermore, The buyer hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the auctioneer, the vehicle's registered owner, and the vehicle's legal owner, against any and all liability loss, cost, damages, fees of attorneys and other expenses arising from the purchase, acquisition, delivery or obtaining a certificate of compliance for any vehicle which does not comply with the appropriate vehicle emissions standard.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Pick up and Inspection of Auction items by appointment only. No show appointments may result in a bidder being banned.

PayMac handles all payments for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Acceptable forms of payment are: Wire Transfer or Credit Card.
NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS ACCEPTED!

Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award. Bidders who fail to pay are subject to a ban.

Cal Poly San Luis Obispo will charge applicable sales tax. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding.

A Buyers Premium of 11% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.

All sales are final. PayMac will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.

The successful bidder is responsible for pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Pick-up must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award. Bidders who fail to pick up/remove within 10 days may result in a ban. The notice of award, payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item will not be released. Items not picked up within the given time frame will be forfeited. No refunds, credits or exchanges. All sales final.

The successful bidder will be responsible for packing, and/or loading any item(s) at pick-up, if necessary.
