Buyers who have questions or concerns regarding the condition of an item are encouraged to call and schedule a viewing to assess the condition firsthand. Previews are available by appointment only. To schedule a viewing, please contact Teresa at 850-865-8858.
Please direct all auction-related questions to the auction page to ensure visibility to all bidders. Okaloosa County strives to address all inquiries to the best of their ability. Please be aware that questions posed too close to the auction's ending may not receive a response.
Pick up Information
Pickup is by appointment ONLY
Appointments are mandatory. The office may be closed unexpectedly for any reason and pickup days and hours are subject to change. Failure to schedule an appointment may result in denial of pickup. If you are unable to attend on the designated days, please notify us in advance. Failure to contact the main office or appear on your appointment day may result in forfeiture of auction items and/or payment.
Please call to schedule your appointment for one of those days, Teresa at 850-865-8858, you can also email tmcgee@myokaloosa.com or alineuehara@thepublicgroup.com to schedule. Please contact the main contact if you cannot pick up your items on those days.
All auction winners must bring their own equipment for removing and loading purchased items, along with presenting a valid ID matching the name and address on their profile, as well as the auction payment receipt. Okaloosa County does not provide shipping or packing services; arrangements for pack-n-ship must be made through a third-party company.
If a third party is designated to pick up items on behalf of the winning bidder, it is mandatory for the bidder to email the auction contact authorizing release to the third party. This email must include an attached release authorization form, along with the pickup person's name and/or company, and a copy of the winning bidder’s ID. Items will not be released to unauthorized pickup parties. Failure to provide the required documents in advance will result in the third-party company being denied pickup.

Tax Exemption
If you are eligible for tax exemption, kindly submit your tax certificate to supportrep@publicsurplus.com, or get in contact to our live CHAT on the top left corner on the platform. Please note that for processing exemptions outside of Florida, the Florida Department of Revenue does not accept exemption certificates from other states.

Okaloosa County may require a bid deposit.
PayMac, Inc. handles all payments for Okaloosa County.
Acceptable forms of payment are: Wire Transfer or Credit Card.
NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED!
Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award.
Okaloosa County may charge sales tax. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding. When sales tax is included, the buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.
A Buyers Premium of 10% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.
All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.
The successful bidder will be responsible for pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Pick-up must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award. The notice of award, payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item will not be released.
Pick-up hours by appointment only.
The successful bidder will be responsible for packing, and/or loading any item(s) at pick-up, if necessary.
