Retired Fire Helmets – Public Auction
The Ames Fire Department is offering a collection of retired fire helmets for public auction. These helmets are no longer certified for firefighting use and are being sold strictly as-is for display or memorabilia purposes only.

Please note: You will only receive what is shown in the photo.

The year of manufacture and helmet models are not guaranteed but have been listed to the best of our knowledge.

All items are to be sold "as is - where is" with no warranty either expressed or implied. The buyer assumes all responsibilities and liabilities.

Bid Deposits. City of Ames will require bid deposits on items over $500 in order to ensure fairness and equity to all buyers as a way to decrease default bidding. The deposit will be reversed if no default occurs or the bidder does not win the auction. Public Surplus will collect and retain the deposit if there is a default by the winning bidder.
