Description
Condition: FAIR
  • Condition: State the condition clearly. The pictures show it is "New Old Stock," meaning it's new and unused, but the packaging may be worn due to storage. This is a very important detail for buyers. Mention that it is in its original box and includes the manual.

  • Product Name and Model: Hunter WVP Wireless Valve Programmer (Model: WVP). The FCC ID "M3UWVP" and IC "2772-WVP" are also good details to include, as they confirm the specific version.

  • Function: "This handheld radio programmer is used to wirelessly set up and control Hunter WVC (Wireless Valve Controllers) for irrigation systems. It allows for programming and manual operations without needing to open the valve box."

  • Compatibility: This is crucial. Mention that it is for use with Hunter WVC - Wireless Valve Controller (sold separately). This prevents a buyer from purchasing the wrong item for their needs.

The key feature of the WVP is that it communicates with the WVCs via radio signals from up to 100 feet away. This allows a user to program and operate the sprinkler system without having to physically open up the valve box, which is often underground, muddy, or hard to access. It can be used to:

  • Create watering schedules (run times, start times, and watering days).

  • Perform manual operations.

  • Retrieve program information and check the battery status of the controller.

The box indicates a "D.O.M. 070423," which likely stands for "Date of Manufacture," suggesting it was made in April 2007. While it is a discontinued model, it is still a functional and valuable piece of equipment for those who use or service these specific Hunter WVC systems.
