This is a Fill-Rite KIT800GR, an 800 Series Register and Faceplate Kit, designed for use with 800 Series meters. The kit contains a mechanical register assembly and a faceplate. The register, as shown in the image, is a mechanical counting device featuring a series of black, numbered wheels with white digits. These wheels are linked to a gear-driven mechanism on the right side of the assembly, which includes several white and silver gears. This mechanism is designed to track and display a cumulative total of liquid that has passed through the meter. The black numbers on the wheels are large and clear, ensuring readability. The overall construction appears to be made of durable materials, likely metal and plastic, suitable for industrial applications. The faceplate, not visible in the image but included in the kit, provides the housing and cover for the register when it's installed on the meter.

Professional Use:

Professionally, this kit is used in a variety of industries that require accurate fluid measurement, such as agriculture, construction, aviation, and fleet management. It is typically installed on Fill-Rite 800 Series fuel transfer pumps or meters to accurately track and measure the volume of fuel, oil, or other non-corrosive liquids being dispensed. Applications include monitoring fuel usage in large machinery, managing on-site fuel tanks, tracking fluid consumption for inventory control, and ensuring precise measurements for billing or regulatory compliance. The robust mechanical design of the register makes it a reliable tool in demanding environments where electronic components might be susceptible to damage from vibration, dust, or moisture.

DIY and Hobbyist Use:

For DIY users and hobbyists, this kit can be repurposed for various projects that require measuring fluid volume. A common application would be for personal use on a home fuel transfer pump to keep track of the amount of fuel being put into vehicles, boats, or generators. It can also be integrated into custom fluid-transfer systems for non-commercial purposes, such as in a garage for dispensing motor oil from a drum or in an off-grid setup for monitoring water usage. While the initial investment might be more than simple measuring tools, the durability and accuracy of a professional-grade mechanical register can be a significant benefit for long-term or frequent use in a workshop or farm environment. The mechanical nature means it doesn't require electricity to function, making it ideal for remote or power-limited applications.
